A Raleigh native, Shelsey Hall has always been passionate about advocacy, particularly for individuals and communities who have historically been unheard. Inspired by her aunt, a respected judge, Shelsey witnessed firsthand the powerful strides one can make through dedication and legal expertise. Her passion for law is driven by the opportunity to advocate for and represent clients, ensuring that every voice is heard.
Shelsey focuses on advocating for individuals harmed due to the negligence of others—primarily in premises liability cases such as slip and falls, dog bites, and motor vehicle collisions. Many of her cases involve commercial defendants, including negligent trucking companies and business owners who failed to maintain safe environments. Whether harm is caused by a careless driver or a corporation cutting corners, she works to ensure that her clients receive the justice they deserve.
From a young age, Shelsey was drawn to the concept of justice—not just as a legal ideal, but as a personal calling rooted in loving kindness. Her belief is to not only fight for what’s right but to help prevent future harm. Shelsey believes in meeting clients where they are—physically, emotionally, and legally—and helping them get to where they want to be. She helps her clients through the entire process, giving them the space to focus on healing while also ensuring justice is done. No case is too small. Every client deserves to feel heard, supported, and—eventually—whole again.
Shelsey earned a double B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from NC State University, followed by an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration, where she served as a graduate assistant in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the university’s Poole College. She then went on to earn her law degree from NC Central University where she graduated magna cum laude.
