Description:

The families of four people aged 17 to 19 who were killed in a devastating late-night apartment fire have settled their claims against the apartment complex and the county 911 operators who handled the victims’ emergency calls. Investigation of the premises found that the apartment complex was aware of dangerous conditions on the property. Furthermore, attorneys for the plaintiffs discovered that the 911 operator failed to advise the victims to evacuate the structure.

A trial would have proved emotionally difficult for the victims of those who passed away in the fire. Both sides agreed to a settlement of $10 million. Per the terms of the settlement, the names of all parties are confidential.
