Robert (Whit) Whitley has spent 20 years honing his legal craft, with a special focus on personal injury, workers compensation and Social Security disability. He’s carrying on a tradition of excellence at Whitley Law Firm.
“Clients hire us because we are a family firm with a track record of obtaining positive results dating back to 1974,” Whit says. But he’s also continuing a legacy of representing clients and achieving favorable outcomes through plain old hard work—something his father taught him well. “In the legal arena we cannot control the facts we are given, but we can control whether we outwork our opponents,” he says. “The are countless examples of cases where we’ve achieved better outcomes simply because we work harder and are better prepared than the attorneys for the insurance companies.”
Effective, plainspoken communication with clients is also part of the practice passed down at Whitley Law Firm. That means returning phone calls within 24 hours; treating clients with respect and courtesy; and even empowering clients with instructional materials and videos to help prepare their cases.
Whit acknowledges, “It doesn’t always mean telling a client what they want to hear, but I will be forthright and clear in giving my advice.” Ultimately, what matters most to Whit is the service of helping real people and their families. “The outcome in a personal injury claim can literally make the difference between filing for bankruptcy and regaining financial justice and dignity. The stakes are high with personal injury practice, and I thrive on the challenge.”

About AV Rating
The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings system evaluates an attorney’s legal abilities and professional ethics, and reflects the confidential opinions of members of the bar and judiciary. Achieving an AV rating certification mark is a significant accomplishment, as it shows how other attorneys and members of the legal community view the attorney’s skills and professionalism since they are the people providing the rating. The AV rating is the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.
