Lawsuit Claims Zoloft Antidepressant Caused Heart Defects in Unborn Daughter

Lawsuits against Zoloft have been ongoing for a number of effects that have been caused after people have taken their prescriptions.

According to one that was brought before the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, this mother claims that after having taken the antidepressant drug called Zoloft, manufactured by Pfizer, Inc., she claims that her unborn baby girl suffered from congenial heart defects as a result. The defects were so severe that the baby was required to undergo a surgical procedure in order to treat the baby.

This lawsuit seeks to address concerns of the suffering mother and baby girl who are now victims of the negligent actions of the Zoloft makers. They claim that the companies misconduct in selling the product and failing to warn the consumers about the full extent of the dangers, as well as selling a defective product.
