Moving Forward After a Hit and Run

If you are involved in a hit-and-run, you may have questions about how to afford medical bills and unexpected costs. Telana told CBS17, “Even as a pedestrian, if you are injured by a vehicle that hits you and runs, if you’re on a bicycle,your own motor vehicle coverage can still come into play and still help you out with those medical bills. Even if you were not actually in a vehicle, your coverage follows you as an individual wherever you go.” 

Her advice to drivers is to stay at the scene. Also, make sure you’re not injured and cooperate with law enforcement and paramedics.
